Terms of Service

Draft — pending legal review. This page is a placeholder describing how AI Operator actually works today. It has not been reviewed by a lawyer and is not a substitute for one. Do not treat this as a compliance guarantee (GDPR, CCPA, TCPA, or otherwise) for your business.

1. Who we are and what these terms cover

These terms govern your use of AI Operator, a software platform that helps service businesses manage customers, conversations, appointments, estimates, and related operations with the help of AI. “We” means the company that operates AI OperatorNeeds legal review — insert legal entity name and registered address; “you” means the business that creates an account and the people it invites to use it.

2. Your account

You must provide accurate information, keep your password secure, and be authorized to act for the business you sign up. You are responsible for activity under your account and for the people you give access to. Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without permission.

3. Your AI employees and approvals

You decide which AI employees are enabled, how much autonomy each has, and which actions require your approval. AI output can be wrong or incomplete. You are responsible for reviewing estimates, messages, bookings, and other actions before you approve them, and for the prices, policies, and information you configure. AI employees quote only from the price list you maintain and do not set prices on their own.

4. Your data

You own the business and customer data you put into AI Operator. You give us permission to store and process it only to provide, secure, and support the service, as described in our Privacy Policy. You can export or delete your data from Settings → Privacy & Data.

5. Messaging your customers

If you use AI Operator to text or call customers, you are responsible for having their consent where the law requires it and for honoring opt-outs. AI Operator automatically stops texts to anyone who replies STOP; see our SMS Terms.Needs legal review — confirm TCPA/10DLC obligations allocation

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to use AI Operator to:

  • send spam, unsolicited marketing, or messages to people who have opted out;
  • break any law, including consumer-protection, privacy, and telemarketing laws;
  • impersonate anyone or mislead customers about who they are dealing with;
  • upload malicious code, probe or attack the service, or access other businesses' data;
  • resell or share access to the service without our written permission.

We may suspend accounts that put other users, customers, or the service at risk.

7. Subscriptions and billing

Paid plans are billed in advance through Stripe and renew automatically until cancelled. You can change or cancel your plan from Settings → Billing; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Deleting your business account also cancels any active subscription. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law.Needs legal review — confirm refund policy and taxes

8. Third-party services

Some features depend on providers such as Stripe (payments), Twilio (texts and calls), Google (calendar and sign-in), Anthropic (AI), and email delivery services. Their availability is outside our control, and their own terms may apply when you connect them.

9. Availability and changes

We work to keep AI Operator available and secure, but the service is provided “as is” and may occasionally be unavailable. We may improve or change features over time and will give reasonable notice of material changes to these terms.

10. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for lost profits or data, and our total liability is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.Needs legal review — liability cap and warranty disclaimer wording

You can stop using AI Operator and delete your account at any time. We may end or suspend access for a material breach of these terms. After deletion, your data is removed as described in the Privacy Policy.
